I have had the pleasure of photographing the Plakas family for the last few years. These sessions include two family sessions and 4 senior sessions. Yes! 4 senior sessions. Their youngest has a few more years to go before his senior session.
It’s been a few years since they have had their family photos taken. Since 3 of their children are returning to college and one will be serving our country in the U.S. Coast Guard, they decided it was time for updated photos. We met at their family cabin near Pine Grove Furnace State Park, in Michaux State Forest, PA for a family session.
Pine Grove Furnace, Ironmaster’s Mansion (which is a hostel for Appalachian Trail travelers), Fuller lake and Laurel Lake make for great photo opportunities.. We took advantage of bridges, paths, streams, buildings and fields during their family session.
If you haven’t been in that neck of the woods, I highly suggest visiting. It’s an easy drive from Hanover, PA but you feel like you’re so far away.
